Chegou o dia da premiação da 67ª edição do Emmy Awards (Prêmio Emmy), considerado o Oscar da TV americana. Game of Thrones foi a série com mais indicações (24 indicações), seguida de American Horror Story: Freak Show (20) e, entre as comédias, Transparent (12) , Veep (9) e The Big Bang Theory (6).
Exibida na HBO, Olive Kitteridge fez a festa faturando quase tudo na antiga categoria Minisséries (atual Série Limitada ou Telefilme). Veep e Transparent meio que dividiram as atenções na categoria Comédia. Game of Thrones ganhou quatro prêmios, entre eles o de Melhor Série Drama, curiosamente em sua última temporada.
